Our client is one of the UK's leading players in food retail and distribution with a major UK presence.
This is an exciting opportunity involving the development, implementation and execution of all sourcing, category management and procurement activity across the business.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the commercial relationship with suppliers
  • Work with the Supply Chain team to develop and manage the strategic partnerships key to the business.
  • Identifying and executing new opportunities and driving continuous improvement in the supply base.
  • Sourcing, procuring, negotiating, contracting and ongoing category management of all supplier spend in Retail.
  • Engage with colleagues within the broader procurement team to develop and support the embedding of best procurement practice.
  • Working with Peers in the team to ensure the delivery of a safe and secure FandB supply chain.
  • Responsible for development and successful execution of category strategies, and strategic relationships. Agreement and delivery of team targets including savings, inflation and rebates.
